Warp Travel
Warp is intra-constellation fast travel — it lets you cross large distances within a constellation quickly. Smaller ships warp faster; larger ships take longer to calculate but still move fast.
How to Warp
- Set a waypoint — Click a destination on the constellation map (M)
- Align your ship — Point toward the waypoint (within 30°)
- Build speed — Maintain at least 50 u/s for 3 seconds
- Warp triggers automatically — Your ship enters warp when conditions are met
- Arrive at destination — Warp ends when you're within 200 units of the waypoint
Warp Phases
| Phase | Description |
|---|---|
| Ready | Waypoint set, waiting for alignment and speed |
| Calculating | Ship is computing the warp jump |
| Traveling | Ship is in warp — moving at warp speed |
| Cooldown | Warp complete, 60-second cooldown before next warp |
During Calculating and Traveling phases, your ship is immune to collisions.
Speed Multipliers by Ship Class
Smaller ships warp faster. The multiplier is applied to your ship's base max speed.
| Ship Class | Warp Multiplier | Approx Speed |
|---|---|---|
| Corvette | 15x | ~1,500-2,000 u/s |
| Frigate | 13x | ~1,100-1,300 u/s |
| Destroyer | 11x | ~770-880 u/s |
| Cruiser | 10x | ~800-900 u/s |
| Carrier | 9x | ~585-648 u/s |
| Hauler | 8x | ~560-608 u/s |
| Battleship | 8x | ~480-528 u/s |
| Dreadnought | 7x | ~350-392 u/s |
Calculation Time
Larger ships take longer to calculate the warp jump:
| Ship Size | Calculation Time |
|---|---|
| Small (Corvette, Frigate) | 3 seconds |
| Medium (Destroyer, Cruiser, Hauler) | 5 seconds |
| Large (Battleship, Carrier, Dreadnought) | 10 seconds |
Warp Interruption
Warp can be interrupted by:
- Taking damage — Any hit cancels warp
- Warp Disruptor — An enemy utility that disrupts your warp field
- Interdiction Beacon — A deployable device that creates a warp-blocking zone
- Manual cancellation — You can cancel warp at any time
- Sun radiation — Emergency exit if you warp near a sun
Interdiction
Warp Disruptors
Equippable utility items that can disrupt an enemy's warp. Craftable at the Equipment Lab.
Interdiction Beacons
Deployable devices that create a warp-blocking zone:
| Tier | Radius | Duration | Health | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| T1 | 500 u | 60s | 100 HP | 1,000 |
| T2 | 650 u | 90s | 150 HP | 3,000 |
| T3 | 800 u | 120s | 200 HP | 8,000 |
| T4 | 1,000 u | 180s | 300 HP | 20,000 |
- Max 3 beacons per player
- Must be placed at least 2,000 units from stations
- 30-second cooldown between deployments
If you're being chased, activate warp as soon as possible. Corvettes calculate in just 3 seconds — hard to catch if you're already moving. Watch out for warp disruptors!
Interdiction beacons are a pirate's best friend. Place them near asteroid belts or trade routes to catch unsuspecting haulers dropping out of warp.
